HelmChart Terms of Use
Effective date 15 September 2026 | Last updated 15 September 2026
1 Agreement and operator
These terms govern your use of HelmChart, operated by EG Maritime Sea Consultant, Al Ihtiraf Street, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Contact admin@maritime-sea-consulting.com. By accepting these terms when registering or purchasing, you agree to them. The Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information and is not a substitute for these terms.
2 Educational purpose and navigation limitations
HelmChart is a training and educational tool. Exercises, chart displays, scenarios and calculations may be simplified, fictional or outdated. Do not rely on HelmChart for actual vessel navigation, collision avoidance, passage planning, emergency response or operational decisions. Use current authorized nautical publications and charts, approved equipment and qualified professional judgment for real operations.
Completion, scores or certificates demonstrate only the activities described in the app. They do not grant a professional licence, STCW qualification, flag-state endorsement or employer authorization unless an expressly identified accredited arrangement states otherwise.
3 Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age stated in our Privacy Policy and have legal capacity to accept these terms or the appropriate authorization. HelmChart has no sign-in and no user accounts, so there are no credentials for you to protect.
4 Access and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use HelmChart for its intended training purpose. Do not interfere with the service, scrape protected content or infringe another person’s rights.
Do not upload classified, restricted or confidential operational material, personal information you lack authority to share, or unlawful content. Do not use the service to facilitate wrongdoing. Where relevant, we may remove prohibited material and restrict access proportionately.
5 Content and intellectual property
HelmChart’s original software and training material belong to EG Maritime Sea Consultant or its licensors. Third-party charts, publications and marks remain subject to their owners’ rights. These terms do not authorize copying or commercial redistribution of protected material.
6 Price
HelmChart is a paid app bought once. The purchase is made through the Apple App Store at the price shown there, and it unlocks the whole app permanently. There are no subscriptions, no renewals and no further in-app purchases. Apple is the seller of record: payment, receipts, and any refund request are handled by Apple under its terms, and a purchase can be restored on your other Apple devices through the same Apple ID.
7 Availability changes and suspension
We may maintain, correct or update HelmChart. Availability may be interrupted and your training record is stored only on your device, so it should not be your sole evidence where an external obligation requires independent records.
We may suspend access for serious misuse, security concerns or legal requirements. You can erase your saved training record at any time from the Progress page, or by deleting the app.
8 Warranties and liability
We use reasonable care in providing HelmChart but do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free exercises or any particular examination or employment outcome. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
9 Governing law and disputes
Subject to mandatory rights available in your country of residence, these terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Contact us first to seek resolution. Nothing prevents access to competent authorities or courts where mandatory law allows it.
10 Apple distribution and updates
Apple’s applicable marketplace terms and software licence terms also govern Apple distribution. These terms do not replace Apple’s required licence provisions. If submitting a custom EULA, include Apple’s minimum required terms after review; otherwise confirm use of Apple’s standard EULA. We give appropriate notice of material changes to these terms and seek acceptance where required.
